I am blown away by the courageous decision of the beautiful actress, Angelina Jolie to have double mastectomy to prevent future cancer invasion of her breasts and ovaries.She had been tested to unfortunately possess the cancer gene in her body.She also discovered that she is more likely to have breast cancer in the nearest future.She went through the process of mastectomy no minding pain what dome might say.All over the world,cancer cases is rising not because there is no available treatment but because we fail to act on time as to nip it in the bud.The brests is one precious natural gifts of women. In some women it defines their womaness, if you get my drift.Practitioners in the breast enlargement and other breast enhancement industry will attest to the fact that market is booming for them.It's a thing of surprise them that a woman will acquiesce to quick removal of her two beautiful gifts.
The wisdom in her decision is that she went after cancer before cancer gets her.Her mom was diagnosed of cancer and battled the disease for 10 years.She knows that she will eventually get it.I don't think the cost of mastectomy will be anything near the constant treatment when one goes down with the condition.Cost of treatment is so prohibitive and the chances of enjoying life is 50:50.These costs treatment include cost countless scans,tests, chemotherapy, radiotherapy,blood transfussion, and drugs.All the treatmentsa have side efects and you may not recover from many of such effects.
The message for all us both male and female is to take the scourge as a human challenge and get early testing and checking of our bodies. We should not be far from our physicians for any developments in our bodies.Such little actions will save us money and precious lives.
Angelina Jolie is know more so many humanitarian deeds but again she has shown the world how to fight your fears and steps to take when dealing with inevitable situations. I wont be surprised when many begin to follow her good example.
