During the week, former president of Nogeria was at a summit in the North and said the growth in GDP can only have meaning when states create wealth for ultimate benefits of the populace. I'm just wondering that during his eight years of rulersgip,did his tnure create walth for ordinary Nigerians? Surely plenty of wealth was created for those in governemt and those bribed for tenure elongation.
In this country there are so many double talks and insincereity.Many former office holders will criticise present governemt as if they were better than them.Funny enough those that are erforming poorly now will come tomorrow and say they were better.
During OBJ era, we had significant growth in GDP and External reserve which were part of the advertised achievement of his government by 'crack professionals' he surrounded himself with. We did not have any wealth creation that translated to development in health,food,infrastructure etc.
