Liverpool will have to score more than 13 goal against Newcastle.Only a loss from City and a win from Liverpool would change the colour of the cup to Red.City are on 83 points and Liverpool are on 81 points.Manuel Pellegrini knows that he has a big opportunity to win the BPL first attempt as a manager.
How did City get to this enviable position ahead of Liverpool who had beaten them both home and away? Liverpool beat City 3-2 at home and won 3-4 away at Etihad Stadium. Interestingly, City have not lost a game since the lost to Liverpool.They beat West Brom 3-1,Won 0-2 away at Crystal Palace.This is same Palace Liverpool couldn't beat at home.They won 2-3 at Everton, beat Aston Villa 4-0 at Etihad.
Manchester City are cruising and they should win the league.Chelsea didn't give much fight for the title.Liverpool slipped badly at home to Chelsea and the have themselves to blame.The regret for the club is that the highest goal scorer this season,Luiz Suarez will not take the trophy.Steven Gerald with a very long spell at Liverpool may not see the BPL title.I am moved for him.Suarez has been voted the most valuable player in BPL this season and yet his goals and awards will not win him the trophy.It is a pity about how the job of prolific forwards can be thwarted by abysmal defence.The reality is that City deserve their win but my heart weeps for Steven,Suarez,Sturrige and Sterling.
