President GEJ visited Lagos On Saturday and went straight to commiserate with the founder of Synagogue Church Of All Nations and to assess the situation.He was accompanied by Deputy governor of Lagos state, Adejoke Adefulire.He promised to work with other tiers of government to assit technically with construction of high rise buildings when necessary.
Meanwhile South Africa whose citizens suffered highest casualty, had declared that in all 84 South Africans died in the tragedy.The South African Ambassador said there were additional 17 deaths were recorded.
The president later in the day attaended another rally organized in Lagos for him by PDP. Mammoth crowrd of party supporters and loyalist were on hand to welcome him.The president adorned a white flowing Agbada with a modified Lagos traditional hat of Eyo. All those who spoke on the podium,from PDP National chairman Adamu Muazu to Bode George to Mr president talked about getting Lagos especially entire South West for PDP. This is achievable but it is more than herculian in execution.
Thinking about crowd, do all these surging crowds at rallies and campaign grounds vote? Or are they rented crowd. The question is necessary when you compare election turn outs and the number of supporters you see everywhere.
