DIEZANI AND PRIVATE JETS

 

As if the scandal under her watch in NNPC for inability to account for $20b was not enough,Diezani Alison-Madueke is in another hot water. The innocent looking petroleum minister was discovered to have spent about N10b on hire of private jets.The House of Reps committee investigating the allegation of the recklessness of the ministers has found out that the ministers was using not only one but three jets!

There is so much poverty in the land and yet Diezani is busy junketing with her family members in private jets funded by her ministry and perhaps NNPC.The Nigerian youth is disoriented because of joblessness and lack of care by government.One minister is wasting our collective patrimony.This is a minister that I believe is more powerful than GEJ.If GEJ had spent so much as private jets expenses it will be outrageous not to talk of a minister.The crux of the matter is that most of these lady ministers have performed so badly morally and professionally that advocates of more women in government are ashamed.Check it out, from former Education Minister,Rukayat Rufai and prolonged ASUU strike to Stellah Oduah and Bullet Proof Cars scandal and now Dieziani's N10b jets expenses.Even the minister of Finance,Okonjo - Iweala's performance is not above average. One thing that beats me hollow is the impunity of those in government. It is high degree of callousness to wrong the nation and still have the effrontery to look us in the face and defend spending a huge sum that could build  at least 2 world class hospitals or provide jobs for millions of Nigerians.You can imagine how many farm  settlements could be built all over Nigeria with N10b. I am sure the sum spent by the minister would be more than that when investigations are concluded.

In conclusion, I would like to ask why do we have so many insensitive rulers in this country? Why is it that someone will embezzle funds for his unborn 10th generations? Why are people taxed and exploited to fund tasteful lives of those in government or why do we all behave as if there is no tomorrow?

This might be difficult for the GEJ due to the fact that she is the most powerful of the lady ministers, but i think her cup is full.She should be sacked and probed.
