Wonder, they say shall never end.Nigerians were shocked that Minister of Petroleum got a court order on Monday against House committed investigating her profligacy.Monday 28,2014 was the last day Diezani Allison-Madueke supposed to appear before the house but she waited till the last day of time given her to obtain a court restraining order.
We are not fighting corruption in Nigeria.We are feeding it in this country.There are so many super rich and arrogant civil servants in Nigeria.I am just wondering,what makes her so conceited that National Assembly does not matter to her.She fears nobody even the person that appointed her. The unfortunate thing about this powerful women in government is bad image they portray about women in politics.Assuming this woman is a president,her reign will be worse than that of Abacha. An ordinary minister has been using different private jets running into billions of Naira.She was summoned to defend herself at the public accounts committee of house of assembly.
First she hired some market women and jobless youths to protest for her to be left alone.This was undignified approach by someone of her status.When this did not cut any ice with Nigerians, she has decided to use the court to get back at the lawmakers.
This impunity must stop.There was Aruma Oteh,there was Stella Oduah and Madueke.Why is women abuse of power and office more than that of men?
