LIVERPOOL PASS PREMIERSHIP TITLE TO MANCHESTER CITY

Goals from Allen, Sturrigde and Suarez were not enough as Liverpool were forced to a 3-3 away draw by Crystal Palace.

The Premiership title is slipping away from the Reds and it's a pity that despite their efforts this season, the club might not win the League. The last time Liverpool won the League was in 89|90 season. The end might not be in sight to their long wait for the BPL crown as their hope hangs on mere luck now.The result leaves them a point ahead of Manchester City who have two matches to go.Liverpool only have one outstanding match against Newcastle  on May 11.

Manchester City play Aston Villa on Wednesday in a match that will put them in driver's seat if they win.The last match for City is a home game against West Brom on May 11 and they are likely to win.Clearly if they win these crucial games, they will be winning the League second time in three years. However, if they draw tonight, the anxiety over the likely winner of 2013|2014 Barclays Premiership title will be thrown open again till last matches on May 11. This is a massive opportunity which Pellegrini and his team are ready to grab with both hands.

The BPL title is now for Man City to lose due to two slips from Liverpool and Chelsea's negative tactics.City  are so to getting close this one compared to 2011|2012 season where it was battle of last seconds as Kun Aguero scored that winning goal that put them level on points with United for them to win on goals difference.

  1. City beat Aston Villa mercilessly 4-0 going top of the log with 83 points as against Liverpool's 81 points.Only a miracle will make City capitulate and not win on May 11.

This is the fate of a team that have garnered only 1 point from out of possible six in the last two weeks. City only need a draw at least to be crowned League champions for this season.

Brandon Rogers should leak his wounds privately and stop thinking you have done well because this is closest they have gone to winning the title in 24 years. Liverpool fans are still heartbroken.
