News followed via Associated press says Boko Haram have owned up to having abducted over 200 school girls missing since April 15 in Borno state,North East Nigeria.The criminal group who have brainwashed their members to believe they are fighting Jihad spoke today through the leader,Abubakar Shekau.
Shekau said the girls are slaves according to. Jihad practice.He threatened to sell the girls in the market place because he has a market for them.The implication of this statement is that the man has been selling abducted girls for long.This is very sad.This can only happen in Nigeria.
Another sad revelation is that all Christians among them have been forcefully converted to Islam. If this Shekau man is not deranged,how can you convert people to your religion and still sell them as slaves.Something is terribly wrong with the man,his religion and followers.
To rub insults on our injury,he said two of the girls have died of snake bites while twenty are ill.The total number still in captivity is 276. acording to the school authorities.
I want to see how Islamic leaders will react in Nigeria.If they cannot dispel the believe of this lunatic called shekau,then the madman is saying the truth about their religion.
And for President Jonathan to say on media chat yesterday that he does not know the whereabout of the girls is a true failure of leadership.The assumption that people are lying about the abduction after fruitless searches by the securities operatives is terrible misspeak by the authorities.The presidency have failed Nigerians at this dark moment in our nationhood when we look up with hope for our leaders to lift our spirits. Iam ashamed to be a Nigerian at this period.For how long will parents have to cry to be united with their children?
