Two days ago, President GEJ openly
accepted the endorsement of all PDP governors who came to meet him in
Abuja.The president was all smiles as he thanked them but he will make
his decision known very
soon.Majority of Nigerians know the suspense is
irrelevant because it is crystal clear what his decision would be.You
need to see how Godswill Akpabio of Aqua Ibom, and chairman of PDP
governors' forum was talking at the meeting of the endorsement.He was
reeling out 'achievements' of GEJ in the last three years.Only someone
whose heart is seared with hot iron will not cry for what Nigeria is
turning to. Politically we are growing backward to Abacha era of Mid
90s.This is unfortunate.
Another group of people that
adopted GEJ for 2015 presidential election is APGA, a political party
that is popular in the South Eastern part of Nigeria.It was shocking to
see Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano speaking to the press on why
they have concluded that they don't have a presidential candidate but
GEJ.Hmmm. It starts to make sense now why or how APGA won the state
governorship election and there was furore over PDP accepting the
election results and why the party's candidate in Anambra rejected the
results.Curiously, the former state governor, Peter Obi is on his way to
PDP. APGA is kicking against this but can you eat your cake and have
it? The carrot of the 'biggest' party in Africa is too juicy to
