SUPER EAGLES OF NIGERIA : THE DESCENT 2

The football administrators are to take a large chunk of blame for the descent of the Senior national team to poor performance. The administrators are not organized to the extent that rivalry and jostle for positions led to FIFA banning Nigeria for some time.It is ridiculous that those managing our football cannot read and understand FIFA statutes.

The NIgerian Football Federation became it's own enemy when it removed its chairman, Aminu Maigari against FIFA's rule. The FIFA's rule of non interference by government in football administration is another topic for another day. Most of the funding for football in developing and underdeveloped nations are provided by the government and yet FIFA bars them from participating in how this fund is utilized. However since Nigeria knows about this rule before applying to be a member of the world football governing body, we need to abide by it.

The manner the incumbent president was removed by a court injunction angered FIFA and words came from Zurich that Nigeria was banned until we do the right thing. The kangaroo election that was won by new president compounded the woes of the nation as it was not recognized by FIFA.The last election held on September 30 and won by Amiju Pinnick has been accepted by FIFA .All aggrieved parties should sheath their swords for the good of our football. The disarray in NFF has done enough damage. We are at the brink of exclusion from Maroc 2015 African Cup of Nations. We didn't prepare well for the match against Congo. It cost us dearly.
